Hi Folks! Here are some updates for this week!
Pop Culture Points...
The winner of the Pop Culture Point challenge for Semester 1 is D Period!!!! Congratulations D Period!!! The Semester 2 challenge started today! We will see if D Period will go 2 for 2 or if another class will be victorious!
C Period- Today we reviewed the explorers and talked about what a colony really is. Thank you Ashley D. for the solid definition! I also assigned you the "Conquistadors" worksheet. This will be due on Wednesday, 1/25. Tomorrow and Wednesday we will discuss the Spanish in the Americas. Thursday and Friday we will talk about colonizing North America and the Slave Trade.
D and E Period- Today we reviewed the explorers and talked about what a colony really is. I assigned you the "Conquistadors" worksheet for homework. This will be due on Wednesday, 1/25. Tomorrow and Wednesday we will discuss the Spanish in the Americas. Thursday and Friday we will talk about colonizing North America and the Slave Trade.
F Period- Today you and a partner worked on the 14-1 Worksheet. Tomorrow I will give you time to finish it and we will go over it. We will also start discussing the Columbian Exchange and the legacy of Columbus. Wednesday we will start in on the Spanish in the Americas. We will wrap up the week talking about colonizing North America.
G Period- We proceeded with our notes on Jackson. Tomorrow we will discuss the Trial of Tears. We will finish up Ch. 7 by Friday. Next week we will start working on Infographics. Remember, this is going to replace your test for Ch. 7. Finally, you have homework due tomorrow. You need to read ch.7-3 and then answer the questions at the end of the section.
New semester new start!!! I can't believe we are halfway done!
