Hi All-  Hope you are having a good week so far!  Here are you updates for the week. 

B Period- We started discussing Imperialism by talking about imperial motives.  We will finish analyzing the motives today and then we will start with imperialism in Africa.  You will have homework due Thursday of this week.  We will be moving quickly through this unit.  Please make sure you are paying attention to due dates.

C Period-  Yesterday you picked your topics for your research papers.  Thursday and Friday we will be in the Library.  This will allow you to work on finding sources for your paper.  Also, your thesis statement is due on Thursday.  We will conference one on one about them.  Please make sure you are following the Ten Commandments of Good Historical Writing. 

On the Imperialism front.  We started analyzing imperial motives yesterday.  We will continue with this today.   Tomorrow we will start discussing imperialism in Africa.  You will have a series of worksheets to complete for homework over the next few nights.  This will be a fast paced unit; make sure you are paying attention to due dates.

G Period-  We started discussing the Union in Peril.  This will lead us up to the Civil War.  There will be a lot of notes this week on regional differences between the North and South.
