Updates For Your Weekend

Hi Everyone-
A lot has happened in the past few days.  I wanted to give you an update for over the weekend.

B Period-
Today we discussed Illuminated Manuscripts.  You also started working on your own illuminated manuscript dealing with information from Ch. 7 Sec. 3.  We will continue working on this in school on Monday.  You do have homework over the weekend.  You need to define the eight terms for Ch. 7 Sec. 4.  Then for each word you need to create a sentence. This will be due on Monday, 11/5.

C Period-
Today we discussed the Ten Commandments for Historical Writing.  You were also assigned a Middle Ages DBQ Essay.  Over the weekend you need to analyze each document from the DBQ and answer the questions that follow.  This will help you write you essay that is due on Friday, 11/9.  This DBQ essay will be one of the first grades for Term 2. On Monday you will continue working on your illuminated manuscripts.

E and F Period-
You all did a good job completing your illuminated manuscripts today.  On Monday these will go up around the room.  At that point you will be required to go around and take notes on the sections you were not assigned.  You do you have homework over the weekend that will be due on Monday, 11/5.
You need to define all of the terms for Ch. 7 Sec. 3.  Then you need to create a sentence using each word. 

G Period-
We are continuing our discussion on the American Revolution.  Last night you were expected to read the reading I gave you on the Boston Tea Party.  Today in class your Cause and Effect charts were due.  On Monday your persuasive document will be due. 

Other Announcements:

-Term 1 closes on Friday, 11/9.  Make sure you are checking Aspen and seeing your teachers if you have any questions.

-There is no school on Tuesday, 11/6.  This is due to the Presidential Election

-The Freshmen Class is selling Pies.  See a representative from the Freshmen Student Council, Mrs. Hughes, or me with questions. Remember the person from each team to sell the most pies will receive a $5 gift card to Dunkin Donuts.
