Hi All- I can't believe we are already half way through the year! Semester 1 was a good one but let's make Semester 2 even better! Please remember report cards will go home on Friday, 2/1. Here are your mid-week updates.
B Period- Yesterday we wrapped up the Spanish Colonies. You will spend some time today learning about the English Colonies. Thursday and Friday we will discuss Triangular Trade.
C Period- We are in the midst of discussing Triangular Trade. The past few nights you had to read a primary source on Dutch settlements. Tonight and tomorrow night you have been assigned to read Ch. 15 Sec. 4 and outline the section. You will have a reading quiz on Friday. Thursday and Friday we will start discussing the effects of global contact. This will wrap up the unit on Exploration and the Atlantic World.
E and F Period- We are in the midst of discussing Triangular Trade. You have been assigned to define the blue vocab terms for Ch. 15 Sec. 4 and then answer the Thinking Critically Questions on pg. 488-489. We will wrap up the week by discussing the effects of global contact.
G Period- We have been discussing the presidency of Thomas Jefferson and the Louisiana Purchase. Yesterday you started watching the Decoded film. We will finish this today. For the end of the week you will be working on a project on influential people of early America. If you did not finish the worksheet on the Louisiana Purchase you will need to for homework. This will be due on Thursday.
